What is the best time of year in the city?
I'd say the winter. Everything comes back: Christmas, Rock Center, the atmosphere.
What is your favorite New York-based movie?
"The Quiet Man" with John Wayne.
Who is your favorite native New Yorker celebrity?
That would be Robert De Niro.
What is your favorite sport? Favorite team?
Baseball. Yankees.
What is the city's best subway line?
The number 2/3 line, express. Gets me home faster.
What is the best thing about this city?
The people in general. Their tenacity to survive, especially with what we've been through. The people of NYC and their resilience of bouncing back is amazing.
What one thing must you do before you die?
I would like to play an amateur round of golf with one of the two best golfers in the world - Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods.
What was your first job?
Catering hall in Staten Island called the Shalimar. I was a dishwasher and waiter. About 20, almost 30 years ago.
