    Exclusive Local Coverage of the Rangers-Capitals and Islanders-Penguins Series

    New York, NY (April 29, 2013) – MSG Networks, New York’s home for playoff hockey, will have the exclusive local telecasts of six of the seven potential games, including Game 1, in both the Rangers-Capitals and the Islanders-Penguins 2013 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals series. The full schedules for both series are listed below.

    MSG Network’s coverage of the Rangers-Capitals series starts Thursday, May 2 at 6:30 p.m. with the “Visa Rangers Game Night” pregame show. The puck drops on MSG Network’s exclusive local telecast of Game 1 at 7:30 p.m. and will be immediately followed by the “Mercedes Rangers Postgame Show.” MSG Network will also have exclusive coverage of Games 3 and 4, as well as Games 5, 6 and 7, if necessary. NBC will carry the national broadcast of Game 2 on Saturday, May 4. MSG Network will have postgame coverage of every Rangers game in the playoffs, including games on NBC.

    MSG Network’s Rangers playoff coverage will feature play-by-play announcer Sam Rosen with analyst Joe Micheletti calling the game action. The studio crew for pregame and postgame coverage will include former Rangers stars Brian Leetch and Ron Duguay along with hosts Al Trautwig and Bill Pidto.

    On Wednesday, May 1 at 7:30 p.m., the Islanders take on the top-seeded Penguins on MSG+. Coverage on MSG+ will include the “Visa Islanders Game Night” pregame show at 7:00 p.m. and postgame coverage following the final horn. MSG+ will also have exclusive local coverage of Game 2 and Game 4, as well as Games 5, 6 and 7, if necessary. Game 3 will be broadcast nationally on NBC.

    MSG+’s Islanders coverage will include play-by-play announcer Howie Rose alongside Islanders legend Butch Goring in the booth, as well as host Peter Ruttgaizer and reporter Stan Fischler.
