    MSG Networks Scores Huge Ratings for Game 7 of Rangers-Flyers Telecast

    #1 Rated Cable Program in Key Adults 25-54 Demo;

    # 1 Rated Broadcast/Cable Program Among Men 25-54

    Overall Nielsen HH Rating Scores a 5.51 Rating, Highest Rated Hockey Telecast on MSG in Two Years; Up 22% from Last Year’s Opening Round Game 7

    New York, NY (May 1, 2014) – Last night’s MSG Networks telecast of Game 7 of the NHL Eastern Conference Quarterfinals between the New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers scored a 3.70 Nielsen rating, making it the top-rated cable program in New York in the key Adult 25-54 demographic, and a 5.00 Nielsen rating among men 25-54, making it the most watched broadcast/cable program among men 25-54 in New York. Additionally, the game scored a 5.51 HH rating, becoming the best-rated hockey game on MSG in two years (Game 7 of the 2011-12 playoffs against Ottawa Senators scored a 5.74 HH rating).

    MSG’s five first round playoff game telecasts averaged a 3.37 HH rating, up 13% from last year.  Last night’s 5.51 HH rating equates to 411,103 households, while the last quarter hour (9:30-9:45pm) scored an 8.3 HH RTG, or 619,265 households.

    For every national telecast, MSG Networks will continue its post-season coverage with complete pre-and post-game shows, including: “GMC Rangers Gamenight,” “The Mercedes-Benz Postgame Show” and “Geico Rangers Extra presented by Cadillac.”
