    Rangers Averaging a 1.95 Household Rating on MSG Networks - Up 187% vs. 2011-12

    “Rangers Extra” Premieres Thursday After Post Game Show

    New York, NY (February 13, 2013) – With one quarter of the shortened season in the books, MSG Networks’ 2013 New York Rangers ratings continue to soar.

    Through 11 games on MSG or MSG+, Rangers telecasts have averaged a 1.95 Nielsen household rating, up 187% compared to the first 11 games of the 2011-12 regular season (0.68 HH) and up 97% compared to the 2011-12 season final average (0.99 HH).

    In the key demographic of Adults 25 to 54, MSG Networks’ Rangers telecasts have averaged a 1.52 rating, up 280% compared to the first 11 games of the 2011-12 season (0.40 A25-54) and up 162% versus last season’s final average (0.58 A25-54).

    Starting tomorrow night with the Rangers-Islanders matchup, MSG Network is extending its post game coverage with “Rangers Extra,” a new 30-minute show that will be added to MSG’s post game schedule for the rest of the regular season following tomorrow’s premiere. Thursday night’s lineup of Rangers hockey on MSG Network will feature “Visa Rangers Game Night” at 6:30 p.m. followed by live coverage of the all-New York contest at 7:00 p.m. Immediately after the game, stay tuned for the “Mercedes Rangers Post Game” show and the all-new “Rangers Extra.”
