This new complex will include a re-imagined world-class arena, exciting restaurants, clubs, sports bars and leisure activities that will deliver vital short and long term job growth and substantial new revenue to Nassau County and the Town of Hempstead.

Project Vision: A Realistic Vision — “A new sports and entertainment future for Long Island – this is what we do”.

Past experience and commitments: MSG has completed 3 venue renovations to critical acclaim with 1 additional renovation in progress.

LI Connection: We know Long Island. We have been broadcasting Islander games from Nassau Coliseum for 30+ years and a huge portion of our sports fanbase, event attendees, network viewers (of MSG, MSG+ and Fuse) live on Long Island.

Through our Garden of Dreams Foundation, we already have an ongoing relationship with Cohen Children's Medical Center, and with this new opportunity, we would look forward to increasing our community work on Long Island.


Venues Owned, Operated and Booked: 7 (Ranging from 2,800 to 18,000 seats)

Promoter Relationships: Strong relationships with all sports and entertainment promoters, not aligned with any one organization, which means a wider range of events for Long Islanders.

Professional Sports Franchises To Be Committed To Nassau: One or more professional sports franchises will play at the Coliseum, from among the New York Liberty, Rangers-affiliated Minor League Hockey, and/or Knicks-affiliated NBA D-League team.

Number Of Annual Events Programmed At The Hub: 330 (includes free community events at LI Live!)


Immediate Financial Commitment: $250 million with no financing conditions.


Max Seating Capacity: 14,500

Additional Coliseum Seating Configurations: With flexible seating configurations, arena can be reduced to multiple smaller capacities, including a 1,700 seat venue.

Long Island Live! Entertainment District:

Parking: 5,700 total spaces needed for renovated Arena and entertainment district, leaving nearly 10 acres available for future development.


Economic Impact: $11 Billion in total economic impact over 30 years. 1,200 construction jobs and 2,500 annual jobs.
