Tina Cervasio, who joined MSG in 2008, is the courtside and feature reporter for MSG’s Knicks game telecasts, pregame and postgame shows and original Knicks programming. She is also the sideline reporter and pregame and halftime host for New York Red Bulls game telecasts on MSG and MSG+.

In addition to her work with MSG, Cervasio can be seen handling reporting and anchor duties on FOX 5 New York’s “Good Day New York” and “Sports Extra,” and sideline reporting for the Big Ten Network (BTN) at Rutgers and Penn State Football games. She has also covered a number of games as a national sideline reporter for the NBA on TNT, the NFL on FOX and NBA TV, and is a regular contributor on NBC Sports Network.

The New Jersey native is a four-time New York Emmy Award-winner as part of MSG’s New York Knicks broadcast team. In 2009, 2012 and 2013, Cervasio was nominated for her individual work as a Sports Reporter in her roles with the Knicks and Red Bulls.  

Before her time with MSG, the University of Maryland graduate was the Field Reporter for the Boston Red Sox on the New England Sports Network (NESN) where she reported live from the field in-game and for both the pregame and postgame shows from 2006 to 2008. While at NESN, Cervasio garnered multiple Emmy nominations for her work and received a personalized 2007 World Series ring.

Prior to her work at NESN, Cervasio was a sports anchor and reporter on WCBS-TV in New York and appeared on national programs as a reporter and anchor on NBC Sports, NFL Sunday Ticket and Animal Planet.

In addition to her television work, Cervasio has extensive experience in radio and currently serves as a fill-in co-host on ESPN Radio New York. Her radio work also includes play-by-play for women’s hockey and gymnastics at the Torino and Athens Olympic Games, as well as studio anchoring for the London and Sochi Olympic Games on Westwood One Radio and 20/20 updates for WFAN Radio in New York.

Outside of sports broadcasting Cervasio spends her time with various charities, including Madison Square Garden’s Garden of Dreams Foundation, which “makes dreams come true for kids facing obstacles.” In support of the Garden of Dreams, Cervasio ran the New York City Marathon in 2008, 2009 and 2013, and participated in the 2012 New York Broadcasters Derby as a driver in a harness race.

Cervasio also frequently serves as an emcee for a number of highly successful charity programs and organizations, including the American Cancer Society’s “Coaches vs. Cancer,” Special Olympics Massachusetts, the Allan Houston Legacy Foundation, the Sports & Arts in Schools Foundation, UNICO, Maryland Alumni Association’s “Maryland in Manhattan,” Financial Women’s Association and more.

Cervasio regularly addresses students – from high school to graduate school – on the world of journalism, social media and the sports industry. She is a frequent guest speaker and panelist at local colleges and universities, including Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business, the NYU Sports Business Masters Program, Princeton, Rutgers, St. John’s and Fordham, and of course her alma matter, the University of Maryland, Philip Merrill College of Journalism. She is also an active member of WISE (Women in Sports and Events), AWSM (Association for Women in Sports Media) and Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and was a Celebrity Guest Speaker for the Pre-Event of the 2013 Women on Wall Street Conference.

Cervasio has been honored as the “Woman of the Year” by the Belleville, New Jersey Italian American Foundation, and was inducted into the Nutley, New Jersey Hall of Fame in 2011, joining the likes of Martha Stewart and the late Senator Frank Lautenberg.
