New York – June 17, 2010 – MSG Plus announced today that it will extend its “Hockey Night Live” franchise through the summer with a new show called “Hockey Night Live: Summer Ice.” The semiweekly program will feature Rangers, Devils and Islanders games from the 2009-10 season, as well as classic games from seasons past, with the “Hockey Night Live” crew offering their unique viewpoint on each game. The series will be telecast every Monday and Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. on MSG Plus for 12 consecutive weeks starting June 21.
Hosts Al Trautwig, Butch Goring, Ken Danekyo, Ron Duguay and Dave Maloney will introduce and wrap-up each episode by discussing the game’s impact on last season, or for the classics, its place in hockey history. The series kicks off with the Islanders Game 6 win over the Capitals from the 1993 playoffs and, in addition to the best games from 2009-10, includes games featuring great hockey records such as Adam Graves’ 50th and 51st goals and Martin Brodeur’s 600th win.
