Special Giants Episodes of MSG Original Programs “The Game 365” and “Halls of Fame” Round Out Programming Lineup
New York, NY (January 30, 2012) – MSG Network and the New York Giants will bring the latest news and developments from the Super Bowl to fans each night this week, and live coverage of the event Sunday morning, as well as a full lineup of Giants-related programs throughout the week, as the network and team celebrate the Giants return to the Super Bowl.
Tuesday through Friday this week at 10:30 p.m., “Giants Road to the Super Bowl” will recap the latest Giants activity from Indianapolis. The 30-minute show will feature Bob Papa, Carl Banks, Anita Marks and Paul Dottino, and include press conferences, player interviews and other news from the day. Tuesday’s edition of the show will include highlights from Media Day and Friday’s show will air immediately following the Knicks vs. Celtics post-game show.
On Saturday, Papa and the Giants’ Pat Hanlon will host a new episode of “Giants Online,” a 30-minute roundtable discussion featuring local writers as they discuss the Giants run to the Super Bowl and preview Sunday’s game.
MSG Network’s Super Bowl Sunday lineup of Giants programming kicks off at 10:00 a.m. with a repeat of “Giants Online” followed by an all-new episode of “Giants Chronicles” that looks back at the team’s four previous Super Bowl appearances and three Super Bowl wins.
At 11:00 a.m., “Giants Opening Drive Live” will take viewers out to Indianapolis for live updates only hours before the biggest game of the year. The 90-minute pre-game show will be co-hosted by Banks and Papa in Indianapolis and MSG’s Mike Crispino, former Giants punter Jeff Feagles and former Giants tackle Roman Oben from the Timex Performance Center in New Jersey.
Throughout the week, MSG Network will also telecast special Giants episodes from its vault of award-wining original programs, including “The Game 365” and “Halls of Fame” featuring former Giants Harry Carson and George Martin. In addition, the network will telecast of number of “Giants Chronicles” episodes, including shows about Super Bowl XXI, the history of the Giants in the Playoffs and a look at the top moments from the 1986 season.
