Super Philly Rachel Alexandra's First Start Since Epic Preakness Win

New York, NY, June 25, 2009 – MSG Plus will telecast live coverage of the Mother Goose Stakes from Belmont Park this Saturday, June 27 from 5:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. This year's Mother Goose Stakes will feature super filly Rachel Alexandra, with her jockey Calvin Borel, making her first start since winning the Preakness Stakes. Rachel Alexandra will face fellow three-year-old fillies in the Grade 1, $300,000 Stakes race.

The Mother Goose, which will be run for the 53rd time this weekend, boasts among its winners such stars as Music Note (2008), Serena's Song (1995), Sky Beauty (1993), Meadow Star (1991), Go for Wand (1990), Davona Dale (1979), Ruffian (1975), Shuvee (1969), Dark Mirage (1968) and Cicada (1962).
