MSG Plus to Telecast Live Coverage of UEFA Champions League

Beginning Tuesday, August 18th


New York, NY, August 17, 2009 – MSG Plus will telecast live coverage of the UEFA Champions League beginning on Tuesday, August 18. Live games will air on Tuesdays at 2:30 p.m. with replays at midnight the same day, a half-hour pregame show will begin at 2:00 p.m. The pregame show and live matchup will both be telecast in HD. In addition, a second UEFA Champions League game will be telecast on same day delay at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday nights. The package of over 40 games featuring the top European soccer clubs is being supplied to MSG Plus by Fox Sports Net.

The UEFA Champions League is a club competition that involves the top-ranked clubs across the domestic leagues of Europe. The tournament starts with 77 teams that go through initial qualifying rounds; MSG Plus' coverage will begin with the playoff round of competition. FC Barcelona is the current trophy-holder, winning for the third time in its history against Manchester United this past May in Rome.
