    Michael Strahan's Road to Canton

    Michael Strahan, one of the greatest New York Giants of all-time, was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2014. Look back at some of the finest accomplishments of Strahan's Hall of Fame career.

    • Strahan was drafted by the Giants in the second round, 40th overall, of the 1993 NFL Draft
    • Strahan spent his entire 15-year career (1993-2007) with the Giants
    • He set the NFL single-season sack record in 2001, recording 22.5 sacks

    • His 141.5 career sacks ranks first in Giants history and fifth all-time
    • He registered double-digit sack totals six times during a nine-season span (1997-2005)
    • He played 216 games in a Giants uniform, a franchise record
    • Strahan was selected to the Pro Bowl seven times, fifth most by a Giant

    • In 2001, he won the NFL AP Defensive Player of the Year Award
    • He was selected to the First-Team All-Pro team four times
    • Strahan was named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame's All-Decade Team of the 2000's
    • Following the 2007 season, Strahan went out on top, retiring after winning Super Bowl XLII 
     
    • Strahan was officially inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame on August 2, 2014
