Bob Wischusen joined MSG in the summer 2001 and can be seen and heard calling play-by-play on TV and radio for select Knicks and Rangers games. In addition, Wischusen is a contributor to MSG's nightly sports and entertainment program "MSG, NY" where he reports on NFL football.
Dating back to the 2002 NFL season, Wischusen can also be heard calling the play-by-play for the New York Jets radio broadcast alongside former NY Jets defensive tackle Marty Lyons. Additionally, he can be seen on ESPN calling college basketball and football games.
During his time at MSG, Wischusen had served as a key component in the launch of MSG Plus' (formerly FSNY) ambitious "Regional Sports Report - New York Edition" and co-hosted "Talk of Our Town" with Bill Daughtry (2002-2003) as well as occasionally anchoring "Sports Desk." Most recently, he was seen calling play-by-play for WNBA's New York Liberty on MSG.
Additionally, Wischusen is very active with the Garden of Dreams foundation, which is designed to help New York City kids in crisis.
Wischusen came to MSG following a five-year run at WFAN as a talk-show host and sports news update announcer from 1996-2001. It marked a return to the New York metropolitan area for the northern New Jersey native after working for three years (1993-1995) as a talk show host and update anchor for sports radio WQAM-AM in Miami.
The Boston College alum and Union Catholic High School Graduate maintained his close ties to the tri-state area by calling local New Jersey college football, basketball, and baseball games for the Comcast network from 1997 through 2000.
Wishchusen still calls New Jersey home, he resides in Cranford with his wife Julie, two sons Jimmy, and Charlie and daughter Katrina.
