Knicks and Rangers Television/Radio Play-by-Play Announcer

Currently, Mike Crispino serves as play-by-play announcer for the New York Knicks and New York Rangers as well as host of MSG's Golf Show, "The Road to the Barclays," "Red Storm Report" and "Rutgers Football Weekly."

Since joining MSG in 1992, Crispino has served in a multitude of roles, including host of "Live at the Open" covering US Tennis, co-host of MSG's "SportsDesk," (now "MSG, NY"), "Yankees Scorecard," and "Heineken Jets Journal." In addition, Crispino has also served as host and play-by-play announcer for the Yankees, Mets, Knicks, Rangers, Liberty and Red Bulls soccer. Not only has he called sports on the professional level, but he's also called high school and college sports, including the Colgate Games, PSAL Championships and Golden Gloves Boxing. On MSG Plus (formerly FSNY), Crispino previously hosted New Jersey Nets and New York Islanders telecasts.

Previous to joining MSG, Crispino anchored sports news and special programs as the sports director of WLVI-TV in Boston from 1988 to 1992, in addition to calling play-by-play for the Boston Celtics on WLVI-TV from 1989-1992. For their efforts, Crispino's sports department at WLVI was named the "Best in New England" by the Associated Press in 1989 and 1990. From 1988-92, he called the play-by-play for college basketball games on ESPN and MSG Plus, while also calling the action for college football, boxing, baseball and lacrosse for the New England Sports Network (NESN).

Crispino is also currently known as the lead play by play announcer for the St. John's Men's Basketball team on ESPN 1050. Additional play-by-play credits include the New England Patriots, New York Giants, New York Jets preseason, Arena Football CityHawks, PGA Golf Championships and minor league baseball's Bridgeport Bluefish.

He began his radio career in Hartford at WKSS Radio as a sports commentator from 1984-1988. From 1988 to 1992 he hosted a talk show at WEEI Radio in Boston, and most recently, he worked as play-by-play announcer for Big-10 football games on CBS Radio.

In 2004, Crispino hosted "College Football Saturday" and NCAA baseball regionals for CSTV. From 2002-2006, Crispino served as ESPN's play-by-play announcer for the U.S. Open, NCAA wrestling and tennis, Major League Lacrosse and also covered regional college football and basketball. During this time Crispino hosted "Sports Talk" nationally for ESPN Radio as well. While at ESPN, Crispino also hosted "Gamenights" and "Insiders" for NBA-TV and anchored local nightly sports news for NBC from 2005-2007.

Crispino is a five-time Emmy winner, which includes his coverage of the 21st annual Colgate Women's Games. In 1996 he was the first person to interview Dwight Gooden after his no-hitter as part of MSG's New York Emmy award-winning coverage. Crispino has also won two New England Emmy awards for "Outstanding Sportscast" and "Best Play-by-Play" and was honored with the "Best of Gannett" award for reporting in 1991.

Crispino, a saxophone player and an expert on jazz music, is a graduate of Long Island University with a degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice and also received a Master's Degree in Educational Media from Simmons College in 1976.

Crispino lives with his wife Jean, daughter Sara and son Mac in Southport, Connecticut.
