Mitch Levites

Mitch Levites currently serves as a contributing reporter for MSG.com where he reports on Horse Racing as well as local events in the New York area. He has been producing and directing "Thoroughbred Action" and "Inside Racing" for MSG Plus (formerly FSNY) since 1981.

Additionally, Levites has also served as director for college basketball, hockey and football for MSG.

Levites' twenty-six years of experience around the racetrack has made him draw some keen comparisons between the world of thoroughbred racing and life in general. "The racetrack, like our society, has the same elements all of us experience everyday," Mitch was poignantly describing one day. "You have winners, and you have losers in the race we call 'life', but the common goal of both worlds is never quit -- no matter what the results are. I've learned that in both places you will always have that next race to try again". "Oh yeah," he continued, "never wear flip-flops around the manure pits -- I learned that the hard way."

Currently, Levites' resides in Syosset, N.Y. with his wife Lori, and his three children.
