Devils Television Host and Red Bulls Television Play-By-Play

Steve Cangialosi currently serves as the host of New Jersey Devils' hockey on MSG Plus (formerly FSNY) and calls play-by-play for select games. In addition, he also serves as a play-by-play analyst for the New York Red Bulls on MSG and is a contributor to MSG.com.

Cangialosi joined MSG as the weekend anchor of the "Regional Sports Report New York Edition" on MSG Plus in June of 2000. Formerly the host of "Metrostars' Gamenight," the "Running with the Bulls" pre-game show and the "Metro Soccer Report," Cangialosi moved onto co-host the revamped MSG "SportsDesk," -- now "MSG, NY" -- from 2002-2006.

He began his 20-year broadcasting career in 1984 as an announcer for SportsPhone. Three years later, he found himself at WNEW Radio for a one-year visit before joining WINS Radio for a campaign as sports director that stretched from 1987-1992. After five years of his television career, he moonlit for ESPN Radio from 1997-2000 as a talk show host and sportscaster. Along with his gig at ESPN, Cangialosi became well-known among New York City sports fans as lead host of New York 1's late-night sports program "New York Sports on 1" from 1992-2000.

His skill both behind the microphone and on the front lines has earned several badges of honor within his profession. Cangialosi is a three-time winner of the "Outstanding Sportscast Award" handed out by the New York State Broadcasters' Association (1988, 1989, and 1990). In 1997, he was honored with a New York AP Award for "Boxing: A Business on the Ropes" which earned him a nod for "Best Sports Coverage". His "Remembering Joe Dimaggio" TV special earned him a 2000 New York Emmy for "Outstanding Sports Program or Special."

Cangialosi, a New York native and graduate of NYU, now lives in Manhattan and enjoys cooking, horseracing and the music of Little Jack Little and Basil Fomine.
