
Lew Sherr joined MSG Media as senior vice president of marketing partnerships in May 2007. In his role, Sherr oversees sponsorship sales efforts for all Madison Square Garden divisions, as well as develops strategies and programs to reinforce the MSG experience. In addition, he is charged with managing a client service organization responsible for the execution of partner programs to maximize prospective and current clients' brands. He also works closely with Michael Guth, executive vice president of sales and marketing, to develop innovative packages for sponsorship partnerships.
Before joining MSG Media, Sherr was vice president of client partnerships at Time Warner Global Marketing, where he developed insight driven, cross-platform marketing solutions, activating assets across the Time Warner Enterprise, including AOL, Turner Broadcasting, Warner Bros., Time Inc., Time Warner Cable and HBO. In this role, he also worked with a number of leading national advertisers, including Anheuser-Busch, American Express and FedEx, among others.
Prior to working at Time Warner Global Marketing, Sherr was regional vice president at Clear Channel Advantage, the cross-platform client marketing division for Clear Channel Worldwide. There he oversaw sales and marketing for the eastern region, identifying, developing and expanding client relationships through custom marketing solutions. Previously, Sherr held the position of senior vice president and general manager of media and marketing services for Youthstream Media Networks, an integrated media and marketing services company targeting teens and young adults. Sherr began his career at Wilson Sporting Goods Company, spending eight years in a variety of marketing positions, in both the U.S. and Tokyo, Japan. Sherr received a Bachelor's degree and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University.
