A message from the Artist:
Hey friends,
Mike Birbiglia here.
I had planned to come to Chicago and put on the comedy show of the century and then…well, you know.
So I’ve been monitoring the state and local rules with my agent Mike and brother Joe as well as the theater. At first we thought early summer, then late Fall, and now we’ve decided the safest way to do it is to schedule this show for almost exactly the same time next year. That will give me exactly one year to make the material that much better.
In the meantime I will be putting out a podcast called “Working It Out” (drops Monday!), raising money for local comedy club waitstaffs, and releasing my book The New One: Painfully True Stories from a Reluctant Dad. (comes out Tuesday!)
The new show date is now Thursday, November 4, 2021 and your current tickets are still valid for the new date.
If you ordered a premium tickets for this show that included a signed copy of the book you can pick up your copy next week! You should have received an email with that information.
I know it seems like no big deal to get a signed book but in these strange times we jumped through many a hoop to make that happen so many thanks to The Chicago Theater, my publisher and Book Stall for making that happen. I’m very proud of the book and I think you will love it.
If you have any specific concerns about this process, email me directly at specificconcerns@birbigs.com (Yes, that is a real email address!)
Looking forward to seeing you in ’21 for the belated comedy show of the century.
Love,
Mike
