World Championship Boxing returns to the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden on Friday, September 13th when undefeated lightweight sensation, Devin Haney makes his New York City debut against unbeaten Zaur Abdullaev in a final eliminator for the WBC World Lightweight title.
Haney (22-0 14 KOs), ranked #2 with the WBC, fights in the Big Apple for the first time in the biggest fight of his career. The 20 year old made his Matchroom Boxing and DAZN debut in May with a KO of the year contender in his seventh round knockout. Abdullaev (11-0 7 KOs) is ranked #3 with the WBC having landed the Silver Lightweight strap in just his ninth pro outing in April 2018. He will fight outside his homeland for the first time in his career.
A stacked undercard is lead by record-breaking seven-weight World champion Amanda Serrano taking on WBO World Featherweight champion Heather Hardy in an all-Brooklyn affair.
